本片叙述小鹿 Bambi 的成长故事，是部主题强调爱与温馨的作品，故事描述Bambi从踉蹌学步开始，与森林伙伴们一起历经季节迭换，在神奇的大自然里学习成长，但是当人类带枪闯入森林，屠杀了他们的亲人、摧毁了他们的家园，只有爱是抚平伤痕的唯一力量。本片对森林的和谐气氛与物们善良本性描写十分深入，故事里藉由可爱动物们温馨的扶持与相处，展现纯真童心及处处有爱的寓意。迪士尼的动画家特地赴野地实察，并用创新的“水彩概念画法”将整片森林的神韵表达得一览无遗，为了观察动物的一举一动，动画家们与动物相处了很长一段时间，再将动物配合人类的表情拟人呈现，成就了这部不朽的杰作！当本片一推出立刻开出亮丽的票房，影片中森林的一景一物、角色的一顰一笑马上掳获人心，当时许多小朋友甚至把〝小鹿〞和〝斑比〞划上等号。甚至迪士尼内部的人员都坦承，其实后来的动画『狮子王』有一部分灵感也是出自『小鹿斑比』。

◎简 介
《小鹿斑比2》虽名为第二集，但其实算是部外传。故事设定在bambi失去母亲之后与长大之前，在大雪纷飞的季节成了孤儿的bambi遇到鹿群领导者great prince（就是bambi的父亲），带着bambi进入森林深处，虽然跟着great prince开始展开新生活，但怀着心灵伤痛的小鹿bambi，对母亲的死一直无法释怀，由于思念亡母，一开始对great prince的种种安排有着叛逆与抗拒，然而面对生命与成长的课题，小鹿bambi要如何疗伤止痛，重拾对生命的希望与热情呢？
